Class 16 is Paper, cardboard and goods made from these materials, not included in other classes; printed matter; bookbinding material; photographs; stationery; adhesives for stationery or household purposes; artists' materials; paint brushes; typewriters and office requisites (except furniture); instructional and teaching material (except apparatus); plastic materials for packaging (not included in other classes); playing cards; printers' type; printing blocks
Class 38 is Telecommunications
Class 41 is Education; providing of training; entertainment; sporting and cultural activities
There is absolutely NO connection between being a pay channel / FTA and trademark classes.
They were using Rishtey as prefix for Cineplex because it was a FTA movie channel so they were forced to use a FTA channel as prefix but now it's not a FTA channel so changing the prefix.
Same case with SUM also, now changing to Star Gold Family as it's no more a FTA channel. May be Zee will also do the same with ZAC.
Only 3 movies in 2018 (Padmaavat, Andhadhun and Baazaar). This is even less than Sony which is known for taking the rights of 80% South and 20% Hindi movies (YRF, SPN Studios and others). Viacom18 is as guilty as Sony for prioritising South over Hindi, at least as far as the SD channel is concerned (Rishtey Cineplex has crossed Sony Max and Wah in the TRPs and even entered the national top 10). The only difference is that this isn't reflected in their HD channel. Cineplex HD is almost entirely Hindi whereas Max HD is mostly South and only a little Hindi.
