Breaking Reliance and Disney merger approved by CCI

Reliance should dismantle 'Viacom 18' as Paramount went out from partnership as well as 'Viacom' brand wiped out from parent organisation itself. Also Viacom 18 is complicated with so many identities - Viacom 18, Colors, TV 18, Network 18, Sports 18 etc etc. Now Reliance gets control of the most popular and single brand name 'Star'. I hope they will prioritise Star network than their own Viacom 18. When it comes to 'Colors' branded channels except few in most places Star channels are stronger and popular . Also its unclear that who owns Colors brand now - Reliance TV 18 or Paramount. At the same time Reliance going to own majority of Star and in future they may get full ownership.
Hotstar is popular and offer better experience than Jio Cinema. So its better to retain Hotstar as the major streaming platform and pack up Jio Cinema back to Jio sim complementary service.

After this merger, Star Sports should also change the names of all sports channels. Sky Sports and Super Sports have named their channels according to different categories of sports events
The channel number names are a bit old now and all the major sports channels of the country have also named their channels category wise in the same way.

Colors brand is brought by reliance this year in a 500 million USD deal . Viacom18 name will be dissolved now its called digital 18

Bro this is not possible here india India bcos here sports is broadcasted in different languages..Like if they launch Star Sports Cricket than they would have to launch same channel in hindi,english,Tamil,telegu language and more..So the case will be for all particular dedicated sports catagory...

Yes brother, you are also right but if we change the language of the channel like Discovery and Animal Plant with one button then there should not be any problem
