2016 in India was quite an eventful year. Much of this ‘eventful’ element of the year comes due to Reliance Jio. One has to be living under a rock to not know about what Jio has been up to, all year. The company has been a true revolutionary force in the markets of technology. Up next is the Reliance Jio DTH service! It had been rumored for a while, and today, pictures of the Reliance Jio DTH Set Top Box have leaked.
This adds fuel to the fire, credibility to what was just a rumor. As of now, the expectation in the markets is that this Reliance Jio DTH service will start off in March or April. An image has now leaked, showing the set top box in detail. What really surprises us here is the build quality and the look and feel of this device!
The device has a round look to it, and looks rather good looking! As of now this remains unclear if it would be connected to a dish, or the Jio Fiber to provide access to content. In addition to that, the remote of the device has yet another surprising tease! It features a microphone button. This means that it is quite possible that users of the Reliance Jio DTH service will make use of voice commands to change channels!
