haha first of all I am not. I am devestated by your comment because every time someone comes and post something against TRAI order as if the authority is formed by group of fools and you guys are genius ones

I am not TRAI lawyer and i don't get a single paisa from govt by defending the order so I am not defending anything. I am saying what TRAI officials said in various interviews.

Everything you said is true but point is we are paying twice to get those Netflix(paid content) shows already. First to ISP and then again to Netflix. In new TV regime we are also going similar way. We will pay to Star to get paid content and we will pay to DPO just like ISP.

Now regarding FTA chs to be free, if you check website of DPO then you will see all DPO charges for FTA also in current regime. For example in TS all DD chs are priced at Rs5 currently. So DPO are charging this Rs 5 as NCF/distibution fee in current regime though it is FTA.

Again true that we not only get Youtube but also get other free streaming apps like voot and we choose what apps we will see. Similarly we are free to choose which FTA chs we will choose out of 600 FTA chs we have in new regime.
Look Sir, I respect your opinion. You're definitely free to have your own views. But i just cannot concur with you regarding your views on NCF.

I am not sure what kind of cord cutting you are talking about because even 10G wireless internet cannnot handle 25 crore househld video steaming pressure so let along 4G/5G. You need fiber internet so again wire. So dream of cord cutting will never become true
Again, I live in a very small town and its already covered by multiple FTTH providers thanks to LCO's stepping up their game. They provide 4mbps UL for 500/month. Which is what i use and trust me I'm able to do all the streaming i want. Now you might argue thats not enough. There are affordable plans upto 100mbps too. Cord cutting isn't a reality as of now but it will be very soon. Jio will make sure of it.
Also, incase Jio plans to give IPTV without NCF then we all know for whom TRAI works for. That's why many are waiting for Jio to launch. No wonder many LCO's sensed this and are fighting against TRAI. Already my lco whose mso is Den(owned by Jio) has decided to move on from it.

Agree to your point. Once this rule comes to effect, we can see many changes. First few months will be very bad. But on the long run it'll yield the fruit.

HC has cautioned Tata Sky yesterday that "they are delaying the implementation of tariff order at their own risk. Their can be a possibility that verdict of this case can go against them and they are unprepared to migrate all customers on 1st Feb resulting in blackout" Also in that 15% cap case that was withdrawn by TRAI, SC had said that it's up to TRAI to enforce 15% cap or not.
