Why there is much pack difference in south pack vs rest of india. South packs are less costly.

Actually we south people are getting more channels than north....But they r paying more money than us....

As baskaran123 bro told we r getting more tamil channels nearly 50 and 4-5 english movie for 80-120Rs in cable and 150 Rs in set top box...
The only drawback is we can't get all sports channels and can't expect the audio and video quality as dth provides.....mainly we can't get epg to set reminder.....

Three likely reasons:

1. Hindi channels are subsidized for south customers.
2. South cable operators have dense userbase which allows them to negotiate prices with channels.
3. Southern channels are mostly FTA

Is there any way to get south pack in north india in airtel

iits very simple. the south indian taxes r very low as compared to roi.

all 4 south indian states' entertainment taxes are very low as compare to roi.

in chennai the highest ticket price for a movie is 120 rs as it is being regulated by govt.

but in delhi ncr, i paid 650 rs also

so it depends on the taxes i.e.being levied in their respective states
