RIO MRP rates published by broadcasters

Lots of Members saying we are not going to encouraging to STAR / SUN packs which is higher rates,

but seeing lots members still subscribing this packs and encouraging them

It will not change bro. Many people are expecting a reduction in price after a month or two, if not 6 months. But it is not going to happen, the broadcasters will not reduce the price and will be happy when they get enough subscribers from the targeted markets. Wait and watch the ride, this TRAI decision is going to burn a hole in the pockets of middle class people. It is one of the ridiculous decisions ever and they are covering it by saying it will reduce the price which is not true in majority people’s case.

Before this Rule.

In Dishtv Paying Rs. 615 for 430 Plus Channels including All HD Channels.
In Airtel Paying Rs. 332 for 500 Plus Channels including Maximum HD Channels.

Now Paying Rs. 439 for only 150 plus channels with 8 HD channels and 90 FTA Channels, NOT activated any HINDI, ENGLISH, KIDS or SPORTS channels,.

Whats TRAI getting from this, This is Benefited to Users or Broadcasters.

Now onward broadcasters eating all the creams and earn double revenue after new rules. we are paid more for less no. of entertainment. broadcasters feel ashamed specially star in HD segment. star need to recall those time when they are showing a advertisement , wow new tv but what is the benefit when you have not subscribe star HD channels so star India just listen, your HD channels is far away from the subscribers due to huge pricing

They say in 3-4 months prices will drop but what will happen is people get tired of complaining and will get used to these prices. TRAI will then claim everyone is happy with the current setup and their mission is successful. Case closed. Also this extension for migration till 31st March is such a wicked move. They can now migrate connections slowly and batch wise. By the time it is April people who got migrated in Feb will obviously forget this mess and move on. Excellent strategy.

Point is who will judge the scam ? Both high court and supreme Court have endorsed it. I think we need to take this case to ICJ then
