Is it legal to downgrade HD feed to SD if the broadcaster company is already providing a separate SD feed of the same channel?

Whether it's legal or illegal,
Some of the SD channels are up scaled and named as HD & HD channels downscaling naming as SD.
These magics are doing by our great DTH ops

Read it clearly... He says "Now ADTV becomes first DTH to add downgraded feed of Romedy Now +" like you have upscaled HD in Dish TV, ADTV adding downscaled SD of HD. For Romedy Now+ downscaled SD of HD, ADTV is the first

It's in 4:3 only not in 16:9 ratio
But they are using downgraded Romedy now+, with black bars in top & bottom

You are correct. By adding black bars, it is again in 4:3 only. If it is 16:9, then there should not be any black bars and the picture should perfectly fit LCD/LED screens but not in CRT.. So the title of the thread should be changed as "Romedy Now replaced with downscaled Romedye Now+"

ADTV may be in plan of adding Romedy Now+ and that may be the reason for doing like this. It is just my thoughts...

Downgrading HD channels to SD is illegal if Broadcaster already providing separate SD feed same with the case of HD channels upgrading SD channel to HD if Broadcaster already providing separate HD feed if its legal then dishtv will definatley Launched the upscaled versions of COLORS, HISTORY TV 18, CNBC TV 18, STAR SPORTS 1 no jhunjhat, no fighting, no TDSAT :lol
