plus i just dont understand why dont they use SET for movies like on weekends they could air by avoiding airing of The Kapil Sharma Show
None of the Hindi GECs show movies nowadays. It was a common practice until 2017 and Star Plus was especially good at promoting the premieres of Sanju, Stree and more recently Dil Bechara, but even that has stopped with not only Hindi but Bengali GECs as well, and today only South GECs are committed to showing movies.

As for SET, it stopped way back in March 2016 (a month before TKSS was launched) with the Premiere of Dilwale, since Sony Max HD was newly launched at the time and it was a heavily Bollywood-focused channel with very little South. Before 2016, most of the Sony network’s big premieres were done on SET and not Sony Max, since the latter was not available in HD until Christmas 2015.

Zee Tv and Colors do show and atleast it would have created a space for Hindi movies and i throughly rememeber it was treat watching new movies on SET and it used to be such a pleasent experience

More than Star Gold and Star Gold 2, old yrf movies moving to Star will benifit Star Gold Select the most, as in the huge old yrf library there are many niche yrf movies like Mere Dad Ki Maruti, Jab Tak hai jaan, Fan, Befikre, Meri pyari Bindu, Detective Byomkesh Bakshi, Hum Tum etc etc can provide huge boost SGS library

Hum Tum will move but others are aired so doubtful.

RNBDJ gets airings. Others should shift to Disney-Star
