Bro , I agree with your most of points regarding profit or loss doesnt get affect much only from one film but i disagree with your later point regarding TOH

Thugs of Hindostan movie - they have mostly copied scenes from Pirates of the Caribbean and wasted so much money on creating hype and creating realistic effect on ships but didn't worked much on their storyline , Aamir khan character is copied directly from jack sparrow. they expected something different from the movie considering AK as known as perfectionist , but due to improper storyline film becomes boring and unrealistic film scene or logic applied in film doesn't help , they copied scenes prematurely. at max people can watch the movie only once there is not much repetition value to rewatch it again .

Pirates of the Caribbean movie- all previous 4 movies were dubbed in Hindi with good voice actors which makes viewers feel as if they are watching original hindi hollywood movie doesnt feel like they are watching a hindi dubbed movie. when one watches a good movie with good storyline and interesting characters and with some logic they became fa of it. these pirates of caribbean movie dubbed in hindi were reaired repeatedly in 2010-2012 in utv action or utv movies. even when watches it in between the movie when changing the channel viewers ends up watching the remaining movie of carribean.

the most majority of tv viewers would have watched pirates of carribean they would expect atleast some uniqueness from Indian indirect adaption when they dont get it they would not want to watch it again. only Amitabh sir acted somewhat good in Toh movie. in 2017 previous year salazar movie was released which made difficult fir indian inspired film to make better impacts in 2018 even with all the hype. i guess thats why sony decided not to air much TOH movie as they did during it premier.

It was not the only movie, but it was the tipping point.
Sony paid huge amounts for jab tak hai jaan, fan, befikre without much returns. Even ek tha tiger and dhoom 3 sort of underperformed relative to their acquisition prices. Yrf had planning for more such big budget movies like shamshera, prithviraj which sony was not ready to risk. And u can see after record breaking ratings of war premiere how has star utilized it and not like it has used all films like that, it's handling of lakshmii , housefull 4 and baaghi 3 is commendable,but ultimately that movie didnt have that much repeat viewing. From sony's point of view only sultan and tzh had proven to be a value for money investment.So rather than putting all its eggs in one basket, it preferred spending on the huge t-series new movies library, where many may not be successful but atleast few can prove to be profitable thus reducing the risk ratio.

Hi conan bro, i never said that Thugs Of Hindostan is a very good or excellent film but rather a nice, decent watch. Ofcourse u will b disappointed with certain things specially if u start comparing it with Pirates franchise, this is also an personal opinion. For me this film was not that bad and when i watch a movie i watch it without any expectations or drawing comparisons. Lastly the last in Pirates franchise film was also average so it is not the reason why people took less interest in Thugs Of Hindostan. If star/disney airs this film it will b a a average performer

Hi Yash bhai, firstly star/disney is managing War quite well , it is not a many time watch but still they r giving it prime slot airing across chs. As i have said loss or profit is not a major factor in YRF-Sony agreement end, it is just how Sony managed entire YRF library and lucrative offer from star/disney. Each broadcaster puts eggs in diff baskets and takes calculated risk or sometimes dangerous risks and i am okay with that but if u have taken risk then plz simply don't deny a film proper airing. Thugs Of Hindostan or other film deserve adequate airing on its channels, just letting it remain idle or airing in after hrs is not right. I have time and again said that though Zee and star/disney may not get brilliant response for many films but they get right airtime across its chs

As predicted by @ak7777 and @Sagarmude3 bros among others. Action YRF movies (except Salman which stays with SPN) are likely to move to Disney Star. Non-action will mostly stay with Sony.

No dada, it will b mix of films which will shift. Such a massive setback for sony, hope they learn something out of this. Now they have such few new films in hand in near future

I hope Disney-star manages well for YRF films atleast they should not repeat YRF movies..

Even repetition will b at far interval as library is huge but this is better than airing it in watwrshed hrs which sony did
