Discussion Satellite rights of Hindi movies

Star / Disney really working hard for acquiring various Bollywood Movie Rights and giving Airtime on Star Utsav Movies and then on UTV Movies. It will be really appreciable if Star / Disney converts Star Utsav Movies into pure Classic Channel like of Zee Classic and Sony Max 2 and restrict the other and recent (including South Titles) Movies within Star Gold and Star Gold 2.

Yes, a classic bollywood channel is needed from star/disney but star utsav movies cannot b converted into this as this ch needs to air mix of old and new films catering to free dish viewers. They r acquiring retro films and will give them slots across chs or in future launch dedicated ch

Happy for Sony Max 2 Viewers for getting Schedule of Dharmendra - Tanuja starrer "Do Chor" on Evening Prime Slot. It's really Good Movie which hardly gets Airtime in Proper slot other than Watershed Hours.

Once Sony zee merging all process completed more bollywood films will be renewed by zee Sony both. The best thing is zee has different channels for different kind of films.

@ak7777 bro, in your list of satellite rights, is it possible for you to add a column for OTT exclusive movies which do not have satellite partners? Mostly these movies are with Netflix and sometimes with Zee5, but there are a few from Amazon Prime as well. For each movie you can specify the OTT platform as well, so that this will give a better comparison with those films which do have satellite rights.

Some of the Netflix exclusive Hindi movies in 2020 and 2021 are:

• Meenakshi Sundareshwar
• Dhamaka
• Tribhanga
• Pagglait
• The Girl on the Train
• Choked: Paisa Bolta Hai

Off topic I was watching kabhi Khushi kabhi gham in CCB AQ PQ is pathetic horrible I still remember the movie aired as WTP in sony channel in 2002. Whenever the movie aired in sony or sony max channel entire family was watching viacom18 is not perfect network for such kind of films looks like their is not value for those films at all watching Dharma Production and yash Raj films with family in sony channels it was just awesome missing badly those days. I blame star india or Disney-Star for this they started renewing films from zee and Sony in beginning it was going perfect then they started skipping songs chopping scenes repeating films. I hope sony zee bags all those films back.
