Actually star india had bought rights of many films from viacom18 way back in 2012 and it included Dabangg.... I think post agreement expiry all these will move back to viacom18. Till now star india had rights along with select airings which viacom18 reserved for its chs

There is a similar agreement between UTV (pre star india acquisition) and viacom18 which is still on where films from viacom18 library has select airings on UTV Movies .... Brothers, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Humpty Sharma ki Dulhaniya, Tevar, Special 26, Hasee Toh Phasee etc get aired on UTV Movies as part of it.

Let's see what future beholds, these may or may not continue. With sony-zee merger, who knows there can b partnership between star / disney and viacom18 too , already they have strong bond in sports genre, Jio Mami Film Festival and even A&E TV18 pact

I hoped Star would do justice but same like Sony airing the movie in watershed hours. Atleast Sony gave prime importance till 2014

But they did give prime slots to it 3 times, i think this movie not giving desired ratings but i still feel it has potential if promoted well and aired in right slots. Star/disney should look into this.... Also same goes for saathiya. If still not able to get success then air it on Star Gold Select

Now that my semester is over and I have much more time on my hands, I have added two interesting sections to @ak7777 bro’s satellite rights table (which I originally created, in fact!).

• Films not released on Fridays: In this list, the most common day is Thursday. Many movies such as Radhe, Shershaah, Bell Bottom, Ludo and previously Badhaai Ho, Gully Boy, Kesari and Mission Mangal have released on Thursday in the past. Other days are very rare. Films released on Wednesday include Sultan, Gold, War, Kalank, Bharat and Gunjan Saxena. For Monday, there are Laxmii and Mimi (and next year there will be Ram Setu), and for Saturday, the main one is Sardar Udham. Tuesday has only Sardar Ka Grandson, and Sunday has mainly Suraj Pe Mangal Bhaari.
• Netflix and Amazon Prime Video originals: These are all the movies that are original productions of Netflix or Amazon Prime Video, not all films released on the platforms. Shockingly enough, the biggest broadcaster in this list is Sony Max, which has the great majority of Amazon productions and several Netflix ones as well (but neglects them on TV). Zee Cinema has only Gunjan Saxena from Netflix originals, and a few others like Chhalaang and Toofaan from Amazon. Disney-Star has nothing whatsoever because of Disney+ Hotstar. Anyway, for Netflix originals, most of the films’ satellite rights go unsold, while for Amazon, the only such movies without satellite partners are Newton, October and Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan.

Buddy Netflix and Amazon Prime Video Original r not films made by them, just that these films got direct OTT release. Sony Max , Viacom18 and Zee have all of these as they were made by producers which had agreement with these 2 broadcasters

Goldmines has a 2 types of agreement with sony, zee, viacom18..... In 1st one they sell rights of films to these broadcasters but keep secondary runs or select airings with them and in 2nd agreement they acquire telecast rights of certain films from these broadcasters but these r not exclusive but on sharing basis so u will see these films on both Goldmines tv chs and these big broadcaster chs

Dharam Kanta and other Daaku movies are soon going to CCB that's for sure. Nastik is produced by Doshi Films whose rights are now divided between Disney-Star and Viacom18
Vinod Doshi Films are with Viacom18 which include Nastik, Deewar Let's Bring Our Heroes Home, Aankhen
Vasant Doshi Films are with Disney-Star which include Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani, Daulat, Bhabhi (soon on Disney-Star) etc

Goldmines is giving movies to Sony but also taking some of them with their own channel as well. The Ramsay Catalogue has purely shifted to Dhinchaak while others are slow shifts. The robust airing of Aadmi Khilona Hai also indicates its shift to Dhinchaak.
This year Sony gained Apne, Majhdaar through Goldmines. Also Dhinchaak I think will sell Baweja Catalogue to Sony for sharing basis since October Only once these films have been aired on Dhinchaak 2

It was airing in the morning a few days before. Star tends to air their movies at random times. One day it will air on primetime and then few days later it will air late night as a no break movie
