I was thinking same , as far as i remember it premiered on sony entertainment television at around noon time.
Anyways what is confusing is that post agreement expiry with sony how come star/disney (utv movies) got rights to it.... Is UTV holding satellite rights despite being just distributor of this film or was it that Dharma Production had rights and is flexible having agreement with different broadcasters at a time. If 1st case is true then star/disney will continue holding rights and if 2nd case is true then this film might shift later.
This leads to question if UTV got rights of We Are Family being just distributor then why not for Ye Jawaani Hai Deewani or say joker. Also even where they r co producers like incase of Thank You, Tees Maar Khan initially these films went to star india which utv motion pics had ongoing agreement at that point but later these films went to viacom18 which means the other co producer did this agreement, had UTV been involved then they would have kept rights to themselves and right now these would b with star/disney. So if Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, Ekk Main Aur Ekk Tu will come to star/disney is not a sureity but maybe it will b a case like Rowdy Rathore where UTV has rights.

Deeper i go into it i get confused understanding who had rights and who has them now. In 2012 out of 4 Dharma Production films 3 went to sony while Agneepath went to zee , only in Agneepath Dharma Productions was independently involved while rest had either UTV as co producer , distributor or just as distributor and SOTY had red chillies, dharma collaborating.... So who sold rights and how is totally confusing
As far as we are family goes, it was surprising that it moved to star, so utv may have directly sold it to sony for the first cycle. Because rights of other movies in the preceding year like wake up sid, kurbaan, i hate love stories were with utv only who had sold to different broadcasters like viacom and star. I definitely remember sony got rowdy rathore, emaet, tnlh, gippi from utv , sneha rajani had tweeted same. As far as student of the year and yeh jawaani hai deewani goes, sony had acquired it directly from dharma productions. Post that deal dharma signed an exclusive deal with viacom. Zee had acquired agneepath directly from dharma, like sony had acquired talaash probably from aamir khan or reliance(dont think excel was involved). So to summarise the rights of dharma movies with utv are wake up sid, kurbaan,i hate love stories, emaet and gippy. Rest are with dharma themselves and my name is khan with star. Dostana not shifting yet is a surprise, i remember it premiered almost a year after it's release , so probably sony might have acquired it on a long term deal to justify the cost.

Hmmmm.... Thanks bro. Still lot of confusion. Was planning to send feedback to star/disney and it included films involving UTV either as co producer or distributor or both but could not decode who owns rights. Will have another look at them but it is all too confusing
