New Year has seen lot of renewals from Zee and Star
Since Zee is closing in on the merger we will get to see The Khiladi Marathon on Sony Channels as well.
With Zee Buying the Keshu Ramsay Films Catalogue All Khiladi Films irrespective of producers will stay with Sony-Zee.
Zee I think is making amends with its old time friend Goldmines. Most of the film which Zee had taken rights were owned by Goldmines previously. Time Magnetics Films have been removed from Goldmines as well.
New Arrivals on Sony - Zee will be as follows
Mr and Mrs Khiladi
Vijaypath
The Hero Love Story of a Spy
Kismat
Kurukshetra
Krishna etc
Except kurukshetra and Khiladi 420 all these movies were earlier aviliable with zee

Being a sony pictures co-production, we are family premiered on sony.
Sony had got ek main aur ek tu from utv motion pictures alongwith rowdy rathore, tere naal love ho gaya, gippi.
Emaet is likely to shift to star only.

I was thinking same , as far as i remember it premiered on sony entertainment television at around noon time.
Anyways what is confusing is that post agreement expiry with sony how come star/disney (utv movies) got rights to it.... Is UTV holding satellite rights despite being just distributor of this film or was it that Dharma Production had rights and is flexible having agreement with different broadcasters at a time. If 1st case is true then star/disney will continue holding rights and if 2nd case is true then this film might shift later.
This leads to question if UTV got rights of We Are Family being just distributor then why not for Ye Jawaani Hai Deewani or say joker. Also even where they r co producers like incase of Thank You, Tees Maar Khan initially these films went to star india which utv motion pics had ongoing agreement at that point but later these films went to viacom18 which means the other co producer did this agreement, had UTV been involved then they would have kept rights to themselves and right now these would b with star/disney. So if Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, Ekk Main Aur Ekk Tu will come to star/disney is not a sureity but maybe it will b a case like Rowdy Rathore where UTV has rights.

Deeper i go into it i get confused understanding who had rights and who has them now. In 2012 out of 4 Dharma Production films 3 went to sony while Agneepath went to zee , only in Agneepath Dharma Productions was independently involved while rest had either UTV as co producer , distributor or just as distributor and SOTY had red chillies, dharma collaborating.... So who sold rights and how is totally confusing

Is Red Chillies film library divided into sub sections... Currently 3 films shifted to Viacom18 which r Always Kabhi Kabhi, Chennai Express and Damini and i guess these have cineyug involved in it. Other red chillies films still with zee
