Bro how can you expect such craps in prime slot? Gunday is one of the worst movies of last decade & DTPH is also another boring mediocre film from 90s by SRK alongside Darr. Even DDLJ was an average movie, Mohabbatein & Veer Zaar are much better than these 3

Yet Disney-Star gave enough prime slots to all these 3 movies across all their channels until the end of last year but if they don't give good ratings, they can't afford to air them in prime slots since they have a huge library

I believe these are the only YRF films that proved to be successful for Disney-Star - War, Mardaani 2, DDLJ, Dhoom 3, Dhoom & Mohabbatein
Bro in sony this films got fantastic ratings yes due to low PQ in Disney-Star this films got low ratings. Mere yaar ki shaadi hai, saathiya, yeh dillagi, lamhe and hum tum not much aired in Disney-Star channels.

Can u plz give plz provide some proof to validate ur claim that on sony these YRF films got excellent ratings. As far as i have seen except maybe DDLJ sony did not give much prime slots to other films in the above list and just before they were set to expire their airings increased on key time slots.
As per my estimation i think almost 70% out of all YRF films which sony had, they were either aired in watershed hrs or early morning slots and even if some of these were aired in main slots then this happened less frequently.

Ek Thha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, Sultan, Chak De India and few other YRF films (including classics) got proper airings

List is endless and believe me if sony had managed YRF films library properly then these would have got good ratings and Sony Max would have give tough competition to Star Gold

About ur point regarding star/disney hindi movie channels having poor picture quality, i totally disagree. Yes Sony hindi movie channels indeed have better picture quality but if we weigh it on a scale then if Sony is at excellent level then Star/Disney is at very good level interms of picture and audio quality.

Zee Network SD hindi movie channels (Except Zee Cinema) have poor picture and audio quality. Viacom18 too has very good picture and audio quality across its hindi movie chs.

Gunday is an average film and quite sure it got decent ratings on star/disney which is why it got aired so many times on key time slots across star/disney hindi movie channels, same goes for Dil To Paagal Hai but i would say it is a good film. Darr is again an excellent film just like Hum Tum, Saathiya etc and star/disney needs to promote these well and air them more , eventually these will deliver good ratings. I think once Star Gold Romance is launched then all these and many others will get adequate airings on it.

Even if some films fail to deliver ratings then these can b aired on UTV Movies and Star Gold Select. Let's wait a little i am quite sure star/disney will not sideline any movie

It's not anger it's pure love @dino29 bhai will be like main Disney-Star ke bare me kuch bolun ye ho nahi sakta aur dusra Disney-Star ke bare me kuch Bole ye main hone nahi dunga.

I am genuinely interested in media industry and have no specific inclination towards a broadcaster or operator. Just believe where appreciation is necessary it should b done and similarly constructive criticism is necessary for things to improve which is why i put in efforts of sharing feedback with broadcasters / channel air or discuss about it here. All these things should b based on facts which is most important and i always make statements based on it

I completely disagree that viacom18 channels has good PQ AQ and a big competitor is on the way for Disney-Star may be in July or August late but latest once merger starts between zee-sony history will be created in all generic films.

The only point is most yrf films are not satellite friendly, which is being proven by star also not giving them premium slots.
As far as ratings go , it is funny how u are saying Sony would have competed with star
For the longest time I can remember Sony absolutely trounced star and star was lagging behind at 3rd as near as the war tv premier.
Post that star dominated for a year and after that we don’t have much evidence.

Today almost after many years watched jab pyar kisi se hota hai in CCB most of the scenes chopped don't know why the film WTP aired in sony tv later on star channels their is nothing to chop or skip in the movie don't know why viacom18 doing like this infact they are doing this to many films.
