After The Dirty Picture now Ragini MMS moves to Star India, this indicates that Star/Disney has signed deal with Balaji Films too and as rights period expire with Zee other films will join Star bandwagon. As i had stated 5 months back Disney will boost its position in movie, kids, gec space... Certainly feel they will not anymore spend high on sports genre... This can mean less competition thus reduction in rights acquisition price for India Cricket and eventually more chance for broadcasters to earn properly thereby allocating decent funds for other sports too

Well Sahara Network rights deal was over as soon Sahara Filmy jumped out from main race to become a non existent FTA channel , Zee grabbed on to have pact with Balaji Films and ever since been home of their cinema. Sahara on other side handed out its home production films to many FTA / Pay channels and holds true till now.

The Dirty Picture, Ragini MMS will be followed by Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Dobaara... Star/Disney is building on its hindi movie library to feed its bucket of channels... In Feb or March there will lot more content on them and thankfully we will get respite from watching same set of movies over n over again as it is case right now on Star Network

First Star Gold will premiere Bala and then War. I think it will announce the Bala premiere date around Republic Day and premiere it in mid-February. Then it will announce War and premiere around Holi.
