This official Post clearly says Brahmastra Satellite Rights Bagged by Star

They r doing such big promotion at such infant stage and still mentioned release year wrong in above material? Which brahmastra is this part of?

Seems like Sony is set to lose more movies... Karan Arjun, Koyla, Dostana r being shown every single day and it happens when rights r about to shift hands.

Star India is in full swing, lots n lots coming their way be it fresh or old content. They will fill in 5 or 6 SD channels (8 or 9 if HD included) with gr8 content. Happy that Disney decided to give more importance to genres other than sports. Just to let u know even many Ultra Video ,Shemaroo movies acquired by Star India....Maruti International , Harry Baweja, Balaji Films, T Series expected to come their way.

There r many movies on Zee and Star too which r being aired too often and moving to other networks.

Base Industries may help them. Plus I was quite surprised that Koyla and Dostana are still on Sony. Krrish & Krrish 3 won't go soon. It will remain till 2022.

Last year post they planned release for Christmas 2019
Unfortunately movie not released
Because shooting and VFX effect not over budget also increased and Fox Star Studios joined as co Producer for Brahmastra

No wonder Disney has (supposedly) launched a 4th Hindi HD movie channel. There is a lot of content coming the way of Star, and Zee will no longer have the maximum no. of movies in a year. Sony will be relegated to the sidelines further. Only Neeraj Vyas knows the future of the Sony Hindi movie channels or whether he even wants to stay in the business long-term.

Yes, it is highly probable that it will be shuttered like Sony Le Plex HD after less than 3 years of operation. The beginning of the end was in 2018, its first year, when it did not premiere Sanju, Stree, Badhaai Ho, etc. (compared to 2017 where every film was premiered). Today it is completely a ghost channel with no activity of any kind which even Sony Le Plex HD was not. That channel’s social media pages were active for a long time (including the removal of Sony channels from Tata Sky in late 2018) and it along with Sony Rox HD got the axe suddenly.

Soon Zee will also realise that niche channels are unviable and even if it does not pull the plug on &xplor HD it will make drastic changes to the channel in some form, as it is carried by only Airtel and Fastway unlike SGS which is present on several platforms.

Sony's situation is the same of 2007-11 Zee network. In that period Star got most of the rights. Sony was happy they had IPL. But now till 2023 Sony doesn't have IPL. After 2011 where in they got Tanu Weds Manu satellite rights. Zee picked up and became aggressive in satellite bidding. Sony can hope for a catalyst movie to boost their library.

Love aaj kal satellite with star but trailer was shown on colors network so i think brahmastra rights with other network and star just promote because of fox star studios
