Discussion Satellite rights of Hindi movies

Sony would not give NC Sippy Films to other networks. Sony may agree to take back Digital Rights from Goldmines and give it back to Shemaroo after expiry from Goldmines. Goldmines strategy for dubbed is working well but their Bollywood channel has been a hit and miss. Many Bollywood movies which were on Sony were renewed by Goldmines for their own channel and have been rarely aired on Goldmines Bollywood. I guess Goldmines will give some movies back to Sony. If there are regular airings of Bollywood films especially those expired from Sony in Goldmines Bollywood then it's OK. Can someone cross verify this ? They even wasted Dilwale, Diljale and other movies in Goldmines Bollywood which were last year aired on Zee like anything.

There is no question of sony agreeing or disagreeing as rights of these NC Sippy Films r with Goldmines and they will surely shift out of Sony very soon. Goldmines won't sell the rights to sony, there is some major strain visible in their relationship since end of 2021. Incase after expiry of current rights cycle, Goldmines does not renew these films and Shemaroo or others buy the rights then Sony can consider reacquiring satellite rights from them.

Dilwale, Diljale and all other bollywood films r getting good airing on goldmines bollywood and thankfully not being frequently repeated as is seen on zee network hindi movie channels. Goldmines will launch more movie channels soon and even share lot of its bollywood film library with B4U, Disney Star and Viacom18 so all films will get adequate / proper airing across their hindi movie channels

In all this, what STAR is doing....most of the movies are being renewed by Viacom 18 and Sony....and most of the new movies are with Zee...
Why Star is so silent??
Even they r airing renewal and newly acquired movies at watershed hours or on wrong channels....at wrong timings...
Thr was a time when star was doing so well....whats wrong with them now....???

U need to have a closer look...disney star is renewing many bollywood films and also has many new bollywood movie premieres lined up in coming months. Also disney star has the best scheduling /content strategy for bollywood movies. So many different and various types of bollywood, dubbed hollywood films air regularly across their hindi movie channels.

Zee has vast bollywood movie library but is not using it properly and filling its hindi movie channels schedule with mostly dubbed south indian movies or repeating handful of bollywood films endlessly. Sony is definitely trying to improve bollywood content airing across its channels and Viacom18 is doing a good job but needs to give more space to bollywood films on Colors Cineplex SD

Does Shemaroo still have rights of "Shikhar (2005)" Starring Ajay Devgn and Shahid Kapoor or expired ????
Through whom Zee Had Acquired it ????
