Firoz Nadiadwala movie moving to Sony....
What's happening
More importantly satellite rights of both these movies are with Goldmines so it that Sony and Goldmines have reached out at an amicable resolution to sort out the issues they had which lead to them ending their long standing partnership way back in November or December 2021.....maybe Goldmines did not want to renew partnership with Sony as Zee was joining them as stakeholder in the long awaited merged entity and now as that seems to not be happening so again Sony-Goldmines are collaborating once again.....i feel that even Goldmines would earn more revenue by having syndication agreement with Sony rather than airing all movies only on its channels

Does that mean Goldmines' movies will air on Sony and/or maybe Goldmines will shut their channels?

There is nothing like it, sony premiered around 20 small budget south movies in last 2 years dubbed by goldmines. Big ones will premiere on goldmines as usual

No buddy. Satellite Rights of Viacom18 home production movies too are sometimes sold to rival networks to earn more revenue
In recent years all Viacom18 movies have been with them only even drishyam 2 was with them only even Ajay is currently having deal with zee

Mostly it'll be with Colors itself considering no other big banner like T series or any other production banner is associated with them . Viacom is flexible when it comes to OTT rights but satellite rights sticks with them mostly. Recently released films like OMG 2 , Laal Singh Chaddha etc were with them as well.
