Advertisers pay based on trp. It doesn't matter movie is hit or flop on box office. Tamil, Telugu news portals always post trp related news it doesn't matter trp is big or small. There are many flop movies of south which worked gret on star, zee, sun. Same is the case with hindi movies. Adipurush also a hit for star maa( telugu version). Yes sometimes blockbuster dont work on tv like yjhd, bajirao, padmavat are disaster on tv. Many akshay kumar flops worked great on tv. Onboarding sponsor is not a big thing, final trp matter. Same goes for sporting events like ipl, world cup. Ad rates can go up or down based on trp

So advertiser's don't pay money till trp comes???

Yes they paid most times. In case of low trp they ask to compensate with ads on other shows.

So since last 10-15 years most of hindi films don't work on tv so why advertiser's put their money in films when they know these films are not going to work on tv???

Agreement with RK Films has been renewed recently as it had expired some months back, same happened with Tips Films wherein their movies made comeback on Zee after few years of old agreement getting expired

@dino29 tell me how these renewals happen do producers have a deal with partners like do red chillies themselves have a deal with Viacom18 that their old movies will be with them after they will get expired from main network or Viacom apni marzi se karta hai???and does red chillies get any money by these renewals??? Please tell me
