Buddy, Sony alone cannot decide upon this... If VVC wants it can sign pact with others. Do you think that Sony would have been alright with YRF leaving their fold? Obviously no specially knowing that War is a big blockbuster waiting in. These r business decisions and higher bids, relations, brand power contribute in final outcome.... Star/Disney can do far better than Sony in promoting films bcoz of sheer resources.

Sony had so many opportunities but they did not utilize it, now too look how so many bollywood films from last 10 or 15 yrs r sidelined across its chs.
OK bro but nothing is confirmed till now

It can almost be certain seeing the recent happenings, Sanju being VVC film and Fox Star just being distributors still went to Star Network, in such cases producers take satellite rights decision and there was no exclusive deal Star had with actor of the film.

But I agree with you that Sony hasn't been able to manage so many bollywood movies for last few years. It has only focused on South movies for its own profit

Jawani Jawani will do quite well on tv

Shikara might be on Star and other VVC films likely to hop on to them soon
Sony wont leave the Raju Hirani VVC films. ample airtime is given to them. Similarly Sanju has not performed at expected level on Star network except first premiere (Baaghi 2 was the highest rated premiere that year for Star) so doubtful

It's not just about giving airtime but also how much broadcasters r willing to pay for agreement / rights. Star/Disney is on massive expansion spree as far as hindi movie genre is concerned, they r tying up with so many production houses and surelu can afford to pay much more than Sony. Also VVC Films like Parinda, 1942 A Love Story, Kareeb, Mission Kashmir, Parineeta etc r not given space on prima slots at Sony hence wrong to say they r giving ample space ... Just few popular ones getting more airings. Sanju has not done well on tv but just one film does not damage prospects, i m sure in future their films will work well for star network

Anil Sharma will surely move to Zee
oops sorry i meant star or sony. Zee might lose them as i m seeing them airing quite often like others which r moving out. Gadar is airing 2 times in next 3 days on &Pictures

Movies like parinda, misson kashmir, 1942are regularly shown on max at night slot (1am) or in the morning at 6-7 am on Wah or max. And even on max 2

Buddy which is why i said "not on prime slots", also Max2 never shows them in key time slots... Barring ofcourse once in a moon situation. After losing major rights they started aired more bollywood stuff but again derailed off that track

Dino29 bro, if VVC films do move to Star as per your expectation, which ones will move, and what airing strategy do you propose considering the demand for those films?
