Discussion Satellite rights of Hindi movies

But i am asking why they stopped airing these movies post 2015 when they had rights till around 2020???

Sarfira will surely deliver great ratings on Star Gold Channels,reason being it is not only a very good movie but Disney-Star Hindi Movie Channels have the unique potential to garner best reach + viewership for bollywood + dubbed hollywood movies as over last 8 to years they have gradually built a very robust and loyal bollywood / dubbed hollywood movies audience base wherein competitors have lagged far behind in this aspect owing to their dubbed south indian movies centric content strategy.

Movies like Liger, Laxmi, Crakk, Selfiee, Ram Setu etc. which did not get much success in cinemas have proved to be hits on Disney-Star channels....also movies like Maidaan which r good but slow paced but performed poorly at theatres have been able to get good ratings on Star Gold..... In 2024 6 out Top 10 bollywood movie premieres happened on Star Gold delivering huge ratings....also older bollywood movies too get great ratings on their channels which is again a major positive as it gives them a differentiation over rival network hindi movie channels, any brand seeking to reach out to bollywood movies audience would have Disney-Star as top preference and even in Hindi Speaking Markets more so in urban areas Disney-Star Hindi Movie Channels perform extremely well hence again it gives them an edge on both parameters content strategy + reach

Bhootnath used to air on matinees or Sunday morning

Not a flop but as i said it will have a niche audience due to its subject matter and slow pace

But these movies should have aired on main max too because main max can cater to maximum audience which max2 can't because in most of dth it is far from main channels plus it's a classic movie channel so classic movies are often considered as films till 70s-80s which zee classic airs so those people who don't like watching 70s-80s don't tune to max2 and they never even promoted also these movies that are airing on max2 so how people will get to know
