According to first post the satellite rights of SMZS were sold at Rs 40 cr. So it is definitely with Sony

If Sony - Viacom merger happens then it will be only for entairimnemt (movies) purpose. If the merger doesn't happens it will be Viacom 's loss only,

If @dino29 bro is correct Shikara is not going to be the only VVC film ending up with Star. Though Shikara's rights have not been confirmed yet. Sony is being bandied around.

Surely Panga is with Star. On the 29th I am expecting a battle between Sony Max (PPAW) and Star Plus (Panga)! Digital rights I don't know.

If at all this happens surely Sony Sab HD has to show them. Otherwise why did Sony spend so much effort remastering classic HD movies when launching Sony Max HD and allocating a dedicated slot for them in the initial months? Even now, Max HD airs some classics during late night hours.

But it is unlikely in the first place as SPN Hindi GECs have never showed movies since 2016.

Well lot changes happening,,difficult to keep track. I m taking it easy bcuz if i try to know all info then lot of time gets invested in it. Anyways Sony is surely getting many new rights.... Venus, Dharmesh Darshan, Keshu Ramsay, Firoz Nadiadwala etc. to name few
Regarding classic movies, they need to allocate more space to them on Max 2, it will not happen on Sab TV as its content is working well which will not be disturbed. What i m expecting is Max 2 HD getting launched. Sony did not spend much on remastering old films to HD, much of it done by respective library companies or productions themselves. Even on YouTube one can find all these songs or films
