Can you explain?Star want to make sure that once movie moves to another networks...there should not be any value for that movie.
How do you know? You can't assume that if Star airs a movie repeatedly it will be sold to another network soon. Look at my posts on this matter. To use an example of Ratios and Proportions:So, My Name is Khan and 2 States are moving.
Sony : Sooryavansham :: Star : My Name Is Khan.
The same can be said for My Name Is Khan, as it was the only movie directed by Karan Johar that Star didn't sell to Viacom18. As though it is very proud of this fact (that since Star has the show hosted by him, it should have at least one movie directed by him), SGS shows/showed MNIK repeatedly.
BTW: Star Gold Select.
Dharma has a better relationship with Viacom18 than with any other network. Another film co-produced by Dharma and Fox Star (Kapoor and Sons) is also with Viacom18. Karan Johar's first three directed films (KKHH, K3G and KANK) were recently sold by Star to Viacom. You also have Hasee Toh Phasee, the Dulhania franchise, OK Jaanu, etc.
Ironically, not only has Karan's fourth movie (My Name Is Khan) remained with Star, but Star Gold Select shows it every single week, to remind viewers that 'yes, we too have a KJo movie'! But three others have been sold off to Viacom18.
