Ek Ladki ko Dekha to Aisa Laga is produced by Fox Star India, so why didn't it go to Star India instead of Sony Max?

The satellite rights of many movies produced by Fox Star (especially those co-produced with Dharma Productions, like Kapoor and Sons and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil) were purchased by Viacom18. In general, Fox Star movies can go to either Star or Viacom, but not Sony or Zee.

Ek Ladki... was an exception. We all know that SPN (Sony) is completely South-focused, so to see it picking up a movie like this is surprising.
