The reason behind star not airing tanhaji balaji motion pictures yrf movies etc etc is frustration today I saw in google star CEO mr uday Shankar has shown frustration on no ipl no 2020 matches no pro kabaddi league no one day test matches no new tv ads so totally star is in heavy loss and playing movies repeatedly in frustration and decreasing its viewership..

Any wtp of big movies like tanhaji, angrezi medium, good news, Dabang Malang, street dancer,SMZS, etc not happening because they are not getting advertisers due to Lockdown.

Forget abt new wtp bro wat abt balaji motion pictures and other movies why only playing repeatedly in this lockdown zee aired all filmkraft movies on Friday and Saturday and in zee Bollywood played some new movies

Hahaha! Arrey bhai sometimes do such analysis for Sony n zee too or they r not repeating stuff or have any other shortcomings. Star still has lot bigger bollywood library than sony and managing it well, it has 2 chs catering to primarily old stuff, 2 for last decade films, 1 for hollywood dubbed, 1 for offbeat bollywood and 3 HD hindi chs again covering all kinds of stuff.

Sony has no option but to air 3 id*ots, PK, Sultan on weekends bcoz they hardly have such mass entertainers, Star has lots of them and keeps adding many each year. Not only this star network provides so many films free on Hotstar OTT platform and they air popular films randomly which attracts viewership all week long rather than accumulated on sole weekend airing. If this is not smartness them what is? Excess repetition will go away once agreement work is sorted. Zee is also doing fairly well on all fronts barring hollywood dubbed cinema but now star network is all pumped to acquire max rights hence they need to up the momentum.


Ratings do not give exact outlook if looked overall.... Urban, Rural, Demographic representation thus governing ad revenue and above all investment done is what determines success. Star is leader in bollywood films which gain max revenue, dubbed films though get more ratings bcoz of more impressions from south indian viewers but ad rates put forward must b lower. Another thing why Star on whole b financially not as profitable as sony is heavy money which goes in buying sports rights.

They don't show them because they don't have other options,,THEY SHOW THEM BECAUSE those movies are regularly providing them trp. These movies always enter in top 5. movies like pk, 3 id*ots Sooryvansham entering in top 5 even after so many years of its release. Star has so many movies no proper utilization is there that's why viewership is continuously decreasing and star gold 2 not even in top 5.sony knows when to air what movies to attract audiences. Even zee is doing outstanding work in managing films better than star.
Regarding sports rights there should be not much problem with star because of patnership with fox and Disney (fox +star +Disney) whereas Sony is individually managing all. (sports, movies, GEC etc)
It's not that South movies trp ratings come from South India only, movies like bahubali series, kgf, allu Arjun movies and many more are liked by whole India. Plus Sony getting most more trp of bollywood movies. And some from Hollywood as well . it's not that Sony show bollywood movies on weekends only they show them on Fridays as well. And even in weekdays one bollywood movie in afternoon slot, 1 or 2 in morning slot as well. And 1 in late night for late night viewers. They show less number of bollywood movies compared to star on week days but they handle most of the movies they show
Whereas star doesn't give justice to their old bollywood movies at all. Zee and sony are lot better in this thing also. Sony has separate channel max 2 and zee also has many bollywood channels for old classic movies

I haven't seen classical movies in star channels bro from recent days star playing seeta aur geeta sargam nagina nigahein sholay shaan mughal e azam..

There are few ones like
Kyon Ki main jhooth nahi bolta, nayak, Chup Chup ke. But definitely they should launch a separate channel for bollywood classical movies like Sony and zee
