SCV new package now on their website

nothing wrong for charging FTA channels. but price is the matter. in dth the least price for a channel is 3 rs incl taxes. cable tv can charge the same amount or lesser. thus cost us for their equipments to give the signal in digital mode. but i dint know how scv is charging 1.5 rs for channel v. look at their web for details. or whether they put it by mistake instead of 15 rs.

It should be Rs 15 and not 1.5 because SCV wont give any channel so cheap unless it is their own channel.

not only scv. i checked the rate from IN cable delhi. their cost and package are worst when compari ng SCV. even their ala carte us very costlier..

Yes, but they don't have these many subscribers and also the MSO doesn't own channels and wont stop other channels and their STB are for sale and their basic package is around 100. Also all the tamil Pay channels are given as FTA in chennai city so the price automatically comes down.

scv revised pack updated in web. seems okay now. they added sports channels in all pack and introduced ala carte packs.

Yes, seems ok. With the basic package (133.50 Rs) + MP Pack (35.00 Rs) + News (21.50) = 190 Rs + Tax Seems Ok, but no sports in Addon Package.

OK, the next, SCV GOLD (Rs.195 ) + MP Pack (35.00 Rs) = Rs 230 + Tax, so could be near 260 Rs.

Overall a good package but costly and no puthiya thalaimurai even on lacarte, i shall wait and see what the competitors offer and will move to a DTH if no other choice.

Yes, D2h should be the best choice as i may shift my residence later and i can take my DTH with me where ever i go unlike SCV where i have to return their STB. Unless some MSO gives me all the channels and gives me an STB which i can own it i wont go with a cable TV.

These packs can be subscribed only in addition to the main packages.
Minimum monthly subscription cannot be less than Rs.150/- and minimum subscription period will be three months. llAll applicable taxes will be extra.

The above price above 150 Rs is including tax or before tax.

If with tax then even the basic pack (SCV TAMIL PACK) also eligible for add on. Otherwise only SCV GOLD and above is eligible and the cost goes 60 Rs more which is costlier (or equal) than DTH and not worth.
