SCV new package now on their website

I was in SCV Gold CAS package with additional a la carte channels. Now the package got changed for me also from last week.

Some existing Hindi channels are enabled.
Newly added other language channels enabled.
Set Max gone now.
No Animax which was already there in my pack.
No Animal plant (part of my previous pack).
Nate Geo Wild enabled (as per new pack)

etc.. lot of changes.. But I don't know which pack is this.. I think this new SCV Gold DAS package. As per this package, there should be 41 Tamil channels. Currently the below Tamil channels that were shown in SCV web site for SCV Gold DAS pack are missing.

From the changes... what i feel is ... it will be like it was in CAS as before... you will get most of the channels which was in analog as free in digital and you will be paying only for the other channels which you opt for.

But in CAS we need to pay additional 100 rupees to LCO.. In DAS we dont need to pay.. That is, in my CAS SCV Gold pack I paid 260 rupees (100 for LCO + 115 for CAS + Remaining for a la car te channels). For DAS SCV Gold, I have to pay 210 (195+tax) rupees collectively.

But I feel CAS is better. The a-la-carte price is just 5.36 rupees for all the channels. The only advantage of DAS is the quality. But from SCV we will get same quality as we are getting in CAS. So that is also not possible if we are using SCV..

i recently moved to scv digital i was using it in CAS. Just wanted to know .... in analog all the all tamil channels, all english news channels, pix,movies now, axn, history, discovery, many kids channels were free. did you pay for english news channels and movie channels like pix and movies now in CAS??

You were saying quality in DAS.. if you have been receiving the channels with STB even while in CAS the quality would be the same as you would have been receiving the same channels in digital mode. COrrect me if im wrong because i was never in CAS as i was using only analog cable.

anyways looks like TCCL has taken over SCV like a strom as nearly 90% of the cable opeartors in chennai have agreed to move to TCCL... SCV is trying to get back to business rather than pulling channels out from the list to show their monopoly.

No PT in SCV Analogue, i wonder if they will ever add it. We have to wait and see.

But TCCL's growth will do a lot good as they don't own any television channels and hence wont remove channels due to competition.

But when will all the LCO's move to TCCL? atleast they can start the analogue service as madras HC has denied plea to stop analogue in chennai so nothing to stop TCCL or Arasu in going analogue, moreover since TCCL has DAS licence them going in analogue first then moving to DAS once STB is available would be possible without any issue.
