rather than closing down HD they should close SD channel....who watches SD channel in this day and age

Everybody. SD has re-runs of popular shows which gains ratings for the channel. Meanwhile HD feed is a waste of bandwidth.

Rather than eliminating Sonic brand they can use it inspite of Sony kids, as Sony & sonic sounds kinda same.

I think it is bad as people thinks of Sonic the Hedgehog first when they hear the name Sonic which comes from a rival company Sega.

Look bro. I have been advocating for shutdown all of SD channels since ages. But we can't deny that there is low demand for HD channels. Why shall we give HD feed to users who doesn't want it?

SD feeds and HD feeds should have the same schedule and SD feeds have 16:9 aspect ratio.

Bro HD channels require more bandwidth. 1 HD channel = 2 SD channels. So if a DTH operator has bandwidth for 500 SD channels and if he decide to carry only HD channels, he can carry only 250 channels.

But I do think that those channels which have HD feeds may not run SD feed of the same channels.

Also "HD" in the logo of all HD channels should be removed because the STB can detect whether a channel is SD or HD.
