Should Sports Networks have Regional Channels?

I think they only got streaming rights for ATP 1000 masters. I think Viacom should come up some arrangement with Star to air ISL matches when they launch sports dedicated channels.

In such a short span, Viacom18 has got the rights of La Liga and Serie A as well as Carabao Cup and Abu Dhabi T10 League. Earlier this month Ambani wanted to enter the sports broadcasting business. Here too i am sensing some indirect collaboration between sony and viacom18.... Looks like each investing for key rights and dividing portfolio accordingly. T10, La Liga, Serie A all were with Sony and now with viacom18 much like what happened in Hindi Movies Genre. Hope my assessment is proved later. After formal alliance same content might b aired across all channels of these 2 broadcasters, till then swapping or acquisition of rights and airing on each network's own channels might continue

They have become direct competitor by acquiring multiple sports properties. Now this merger looks very unlikely. It's time for Sony to bring back Music and English GEC channels back.

Since most of their live contents (La Liga, Serie A. EFL Championship) are in more or less same time slots, they should launch at least 4 channels - 2 SD + 4 HD.
They can even make a decision to go with only HD channels for Sports.
Carabao Cup (EFL Cup) and EFL Championship rights were with them already since 2+ years.

If Sony, Viacom18, Warner Discovery merger then current channels more than enough to air content else ur strategy is way forward
