Should Sports Networks have Regional Channels?

I thought hotstar most of subscribers are due to Star soap serials or Marvel/Disney contents. Only IPL exclusive and Remaining properties like BCCI shared with JioTV, DD. ACC and ICC some events shared with Fancode.

Only if you stay at home and watch TV. Otherwise it's an extra cost. You can't do nothing but watch TV on DTH plans. Here you can play games, watch content, work and communicate for ₹399 onwards. So it's cost effective.

BCCI events are not as popular. Also it's exclusive to Jio users only. They share non popular content of ACC/ICC with fancode. IPL is the one that brought pay users. Followed by HBO's content. Marvel content is not as popular anymore.

Only if you stay in home broadband useful, otherwise if go anywhere you can't kept Broadband/fiber same like DTH in bag or vehicles.

My point is 2/10 minutes sports highlights viewing mobile phone is enough, Streaming live sports matches always buffering with bug/lag whatever we pay ₹ 399 or 999. whereas same issues less in Satellite TV viewing when we watch with family and friends.

No one subscribe for STAR soaps, which are popular in TV only. Now Hotstar popularity might known after cricket rights lost to rivals and HBO content exit.

Outside also wifi is free at many outlets. Than you got data daily free. You gotta use it somewhere.

I don't care hotstar if they stream TV soap serials, HBO contents, movies on their Paid OTT or serials on their channel.

It's doesn't mean everyone have phone watching or everyone have TV connection like DTH, broadband streaming for IPL only.

More people have phone with daily data plan than TVs today.

More people has phones than TV. Also pay TV market is shrinking. People are switching to DD FreeDish.
