It's upto star what they see as a good business model, ad revenue or subscription revenue. Till now they mainly depend on ad revenue and now it seems they want to switch to subscription revenue

Asking as all star channels were removed in cable network in my city by local MSO. It was not available for a week, then it was back and I heard the deal was done. This was 1st week of March
