Discussion Star Gold Thrills, Star Gold Romance and Star Gold 2 HD launched

There is something called aligning all the channels under single brand umbrella to strengthen the brand recall/connect with the audience. This is why renaming was done.

I guess u r not following the content aired on UTV Action as it is constantly airing wide variety of dubbed hollywood movies and constantly adding fresh movies to its library.

Also buddy admit it that u do not like Disney-Star hence u will always comment negatively about anything they do nor will u accept ur mistake if some other members explains to u as to why ur certain statements are well reasoned or balanced and give out wrong assessment of why broadcasters r taking certain decisions.

FYI UTV Action has never been as popular as Star Gold 2 as far as ratings is concerned but having said that UTV Action has always had wider appeal and sizeable audience base which love watching dubbed hollywood movies....with it rebranding to Star Gold Thrills it will further add to the success of the channel
Why is it in still in 4:3 in 2023? Are they transmitting it from North Korea or Belarus?

Again u r shifting goal post. There can b various reasons for the same but most obvious is that they want people to subscribe to their HD hindi movie channels for enhanced viewing experience. Soon they may make a transition to 16: 9 video aspect ratio for all important SD channels as had happened with Star Sports channels sometime back

Again you are not answering a basic question. Why are we still getting 4:3 in 2023 leave alone SD channels?

I think Star's policy is to give the prestigious 16:9 ratio only for HD channels.

To them, SD means SD + 4:3....without 4:3 it is not SD and should not be SD :ROFLMAO:
Sssshhhhh..... Stratgery!

We might probably still have 4:3 in 2124. It does not depend on the country or broadcaster. Why blame Star when every broadcaster in India (except perhaps Sony) is guilty of 4:3 SD channels.

This is a thread meant for Star's channels. And these are brand new channels. So what's your point? 🤷🏻
