I never thought I would see the day when copyright SIPL is presented on Colors. o_O
It's a bit shocking, considering this was the same channel that launched in 2008 and gave a tough competition to Star Plus at that time with shows like Balika Vadhu.
I'm curious to see how Colors and Star Plus brands may integrate further in future.

But didn't Ambani buy out the stake from Viacom? It just doesn't make sense to use the Viacom brand going forward, given that Viacom does not own any stake in this new JV AND the fact that Viacom brand is no longer being used for Viacom itself (they rebranded to Paramount).
Think of it this way: compare it to the merger between Air India and Vistara, which took place at the same time as Star and Viacom18. As of last week, Viacom18 is dead, just like Vistara is dead. In both cases, the surviving corporate brand is the older one: Star and Air India, respectively. The only difference is that Disney Star has dropped the Disney from its logo, and the new JioStar logo hasn’t been released yet.
That doesn’t mean that the Colors-branded and other ex-Viacom18 channels will change their name. They will remain unchanged, just the way the ex-Vistara aircraft won’t change their cabin product after becoming part of Air India. But the Viacom18 logo will definitely be removed from the Colors logo, since Viacom18 has ceased to exist.
All over the world, Viacom has been replaced by Paramount, but here in India it (as well as Disney Star) has been replaced by the new JioStar entity. There is no way the Viacom18 logo and brand will be allowed to exist in 2025 and beyond. Apologies for any confusion that @dino29 caused.

Bhai i totally agree with you on this i think in near future Viacom would be removed and STAR would be added
But won't it get too cluttered? What is this need for so many logos on Indian channels? Keep one logo per channel, clean and simple. And do not make it too big. No need for small caption for Viacom18 or STAR either. It's redundant. :)

Disney is now free to sell it's content to any other platform and also, can buy stake in any network in India. Right?
Maybe they can, I don't see Reliance and Network 18 Press release mentions Disney Brodcasting/UTV company assets integrate with merger entity.
I think Disney have 5 year lock-in with Star India for content sharing. Time will tell.
But after Fox era, Disney still licensing 20th century and Searchlight titles through SIPL, we can still see that Times Network renews huge titles every year and airing titles likes X men, Mirrors, shutter, darkest hour, elektra, Ford v Ferrari and many more in prime slots.

yes bro they might just keep name Colors and no prefix name beside the original name have to wait and see as per my experience they will put Star as if we see even Sony did same with TEN channels they still have TEN prefix on few Sony Sports channels

Well explained.

Just to add, Viacom18 brand is gone, but the company Viacom18 Media Private Limited still exists as a share/stake holder in Star India Pvt Ltd. Similarly as explained above, Disney brand also is gone, but The Walt Disney Company India still exists as a share/stake holder in Star India Pvt. Ltd.

In this case only the brands that were visible to the end customer has been removed, however they are still separate companies running independently.

So What will happen to Viacom 18 headquarters in regional states will they close and shift the office of all regions in Mumbai???
Why would they shift them? Maybe Star will work with them in those offices afterall they want to expend in each market without presenting there How will they expend?
