They have a great future and so do other niche channels if they adopt right content + pricing strategy ... We have had detailed discussion on the same earlier on
But I don't think they will be interested because everything is available online nowadays but if they bring latest content which is not available online with hindi feeds then something may happen with right price

Think of it this way: compare it to the merger between Air India and Vistara, which took place at the same time as Star and Viacom18. As of last week, Viacom18 is dead, just like Vistara is dead. In both cases, the surviving corporate brand is the older one: Star and Air India, respectively. The only difference is that Disney Star has dropped the Disney from its logo, and the new JioStar logo hasn’t been released yet.
That doesn’t mean that the Colors-branded and other ex-Viacom18 channels will change their name. They will remain unchanged, just the way the ex-Vistara aircraft won’t change their cabin product after becoming part of Air India. But the Viacom18 logo will definitely be removed from the Colors logo, since Viacom18 has ceased to exist.
All over the world, Viacom has been replaced by Paramount, but here in India it (as well as Disney Star) has been replaced by the new JioStar entity. There is no way the Viacom18 logo and brand will be allowed to exist in 2025 and beyond. Apologies for any confusion that @dino29 caused.
Buddy....wrong comparison Vistara, Air India belonged to same group....here case is different as 2 different companies r involved....anyways i have explained in detail on the same in earlier posts so won't repeat the same.

There is no confusion but rather u and dew others r getting confused understanding this matter.

But didn't Ambani buy out the stake from Viacom? It just doesn't make sense to use the Viacom brand going forward, given that Viacom does not own any stake in this new JV AND the fact that Viacom brand is no longer being used for Viacom itself (they rebranded to Paramount).
Yes Viacom exited the JV but brand identity still exists.... As i have told in future maybe they will change name but for now Viacom18 exists in India

Then what is jiostar according to you.
They have their website, and employees have been updated with their mail ids
Read my post...JioStar is tentative name for the merged entity under which Disney and Reliance have merged its media assets which r Viacom18 , Jio Cinema, Star India, Hotstar....Viacom18 and Disney Star still exist as separate entities within the merged entity operating respective channels/OTT platforms but now having combined as a work unit .... all media assets of Viacom18 and Jio Cinema including license ownership were transferred to Star India Private Limited which has remained to be company under which Disney and Fox operated / managed business transactions of its TV Channels while Hotstar was partcof separate subsidiary Novi Digital and Nat Geo + disney channels were kept under another subsidiary.

Unfortunately members r confusing corporate websites of Disney Star and Viacom18 redirecting to JioStar as Disney Star and Viacom18 ceasing to exist which is untrue... It is just that since these two companies have started joint operations under merged entity hence there is a single corporate website created for the same.

Dropping of Disney branding from Disney Star social media handles or hotstar is nothing but Disney Star creating Star India identity for its media operations as everything will be managed under this company name and not that Disney Star has been disbanded, it is parent company of Disney Broadcast Business in India
