Masterchef India 2 opened at 2 TVR, KBC’s Shah Rukh Khan special episode rated 4.2 TVR, while Bigg Boss dropped to 1.5 TVR

Week 43 of TAM 2011 saw Star Plus launching a big property, ‘MasterChef India 2’, on October 22, which opened at 2 TVR. While KBC’s Shah Rukh Khan special episode recorded 4.2 TVR, a little more than average, Season 5 of Bigg Boss dropped further to 1.5 TVR from 1.8 TVR in last week.

The top 5 programmes for Week 43 (October 16-22) are Saathiya (6.2 TVR), Balika Badhu (4.3 TVR), KBC (4 TVR), BALH (3.9 TVR) and CID (3.8 TVR).

Star Plus continued to be the distant No.1 Hindi entertainment channel by adding 25 GRPs in Week 43 of TAM 2011. The launch episode of the second season of MasterChef India has garnered 2 TVR. The channel has recorded 317 GRPs (last week 292).

Sony Entertainment Television is firmly holding on to the No. 2 position with a bigger margin this week. Sony has 3 programmes — KBC, BLAH & CID — in the top 5 list in Week 43. However, the channel has seen a dip in the viewership of KBC which fell to 4 TVR from last week’s 5 TVR. KBC’s Shah Rukh Khan Special has recorded 4.2 TVR on TAM people meters. Sony has recorded 258 GRPs (last week 257).

Colors has recorded 208 GRPs this week (last week 218).

At No. 4, Zee TV has taken a big jump after many weeks. The channel has recorded 155 GRPs this week, up from last week’s 139.

SAB TV has recorded 121 GRPs in Week 43 (last week 123).

At No. 6, Imagine TV has added a few points to record 69 GRPs this week (last week 64).

Star One has registered 35 GRPs (last week 34). Sahara One has 31 GRPs in Week 43 (last week 30).
