I don't understand why this widescreen trend barges in at the wrong time on the wrong channels? It ruins the consistency of fullscreen.
See bro, we are in 2025. Mostly everyone has HD TVs and 16:9 is the standard. All these years the Broadcasters waited for most of the customers.
This should have been done a long time ago. What's the point in having a 16:9 TV and watching channels in 4:3 stretched to fit the screen. As usual we are far behind from global norms. High time we convert channels from SD to HD & HD to 4K.

agreed bro 4:3 its like for dabha tvs.... people who are complaining of 16:9 are users of those dabha tvs.... being from dubai many channels have no SD versions only also HD

Star vijay, Asianet using 16:9 ratio for many years not new for them
Let Star Vijay, Star Maa, Asianet, and Star Suvarna be in widescreen; they've been in widescreen for 2-3 years! It started with these channels, limited to South channels, which is fine. But this widescreen trend entering Marathi (entertainment and movie), Bangla (entertainment and movie), Odia (entertainment), Hindi (entertainment, movie, and sports), and English (sports and movie) channels and making the channel logos blur is not acceptable to me because it disrupts the channel's consistency!

Today it's time for Star Plus, Star Bharat and Star Utsav.

Note: In hindi channels now only Star Utsav Movies left to convert

Why does my favorite channel always go widescreen? Every time I watch my favorite channel, this widescreen format always shows up at the wrong time, making the channel logos blurry and ruining their consistency, which is completely unacceptable. I have a problem with widescreen only when it forcefully takes over existing SD channels that have been in fullscreen since their launch, making their logos blurry and ruining the overall consistency!

This Widescreen Trend is irritating me a lot. Someday, This Widescreen Trend will make me Stop Watching My Favourite Star & Disney Channels, which is not acceptable.
