Absolutely Agree With You,

As Of Now It'll Be Internet Based Only Bro!

But They Can't Air IPL With Internet Based

Channel Is In Mpeg-4 Only, 4K Channels Would Be On HEVC

Anna u r getting confused by mixing up 2 things.

On Satellite Tata Play has just added channel information and maybe audio feeds but video transmission is not available for this channel on Tata Play satellite. It is running/being provided via internet /server mode to customers.

So slot being available in MPEG4 holds no consequence whatsoever in this matter. Even for other internet based channels there r slots available on Tata Play satellite for the purpose i have stated above. They need to add slot alongwith channel information on satellite so that it gets reflected on the EPG available on the box

Buddy , u did not read the part where i said smart boxes needed for customers who want to access regular TV Channels + OTT content.

Smart TV can allow access to just OTT apps and few live TV channels which may be available on it. Even those getting access to TV Channels via Jio TV+ on smart tv, still the overall convenience level or viewing experience of that cannot be matched with watching TV channels thru DTH or Cable .

4K service channels cannot be reason to opt for smart boxes when one can stream 4K content including sports on their smart tv or boxes
But buddy linear channels are available via YouTube, YuppTV, Sony Liv, Zee5 and many similar apps. So you don't really need any device to watch satellite channels. This is for users who don't have wired internet seeking to watch something different on a weekend or users who are getting DTH service bundled with their telecom and internet plans.

Dear @dino29 Stop Teaching Me About Satellite Things,,,,

Mpeg-4 Slot Created For Multiple Audio Feeds And LCN Placement,

But What I Was Trying To Say Is This Is Not Satellite Channel,,

It's Internet Based Channel Only,,

Moreover The Bandwidth The Channel Is Using Is Less Than 1 Mbps, So It's Having A Banner Running In Place Of Video Feed,,,

I think the binge plus box have no hevc tuner. it just support streaming 4K contents only

Can they provide by internet?

Viacom18 will go to court, if Star Sports 4K transmits through internet
The parent feed of 4K channel will be in Cband.Tplay just downlik this feed and connect it to their binge servers. so the case will be between TPlay and Viacom

Star sports not fool. If it's transmition from internet they can't brodcast ipl on it. Why would they end their relationship with tech giant reliance for a ipl session?
