Star Sports receives permission to broadcast in regional languages, 4 new channels

Clearing few things here, that ESPN is a separate entity than Star now. It can only enter business in India only after 2016 and that too independent from Star. The license which has been granted was applied for before the joint venture split up. So Star might launch a few channels but won't be using ESPN brand name at all.

One thing is for sure that Star is going to bid for huge amount and win the rights of ICC events
 
One thing is for sure that, Star was better off with ESPN. Star, though, has brought some innovative changes but ESS was way ahead quality wise.
