I think Sun Direct not adding new channels because they don't have enough band width, currently Sun Direct have Total 13 Transponders in 3 Satellites 4 Transponders in Measat 3,5 Transponders in Measat 3B, 4 Transponders in Gsat 15, Measat 3 & Measat 3B transponders using only for SD channel addition & Gsat 15 Transponders only for HD channel addition, Sun Direct currenly have 386 SD channels including Service channels.Enter 10 movies, Dabangg & some DD channels are shared from DD FD,Sun Direct also have 73 HD channels including HD info channel, Basically Sun Direct add only 40 SD channels in a single transponder & add only 20 HD channel in a single Transponder. Measat 3 Satellite (Life span 15 years )launched in 2006 going to expire in 2021. So Sun Direct should replace Measat 3 Transponders with new Transponders next year. We can wait for next year to add new channels in Sun Direct

According to me space is not issue. 2 transponder contents 50 channels. Another two I think 40.old transponder all have more space but they won't add.old tps contains 25-35 channels
