Sun rises in my house

After a lot of comparisons with various DTHs I decided to opt Sun Direct+ and have chosen the Telugu Super Value Plus pack for 1690.
It was installed this morning and the STB is supposed to get activated by this evening. The total cost of installation was 1690(installation+one month free pack)+150(extra charges for extra cable length @15 INR/mtr. The first 12mtr cable is free though):sp

But I have one doubt, though I ordered SD+ the STB I got was HD with recorder (evident from the start up screen and the prints on the STB). When I asked the same, the technician told that everything is same, in case If I want to switch to HD, I can change the subscription card without changing the STB. Is that true? Also the antenna was white in color with Sun Direct written on it, NOT the black one shown on their page for SD HD. Can somebody enlighten me in this regard?:huh

for "sun hd" Black coded dish is suitable for receiving two sat signals.but i don't know the STB details.

Sun Direct Using Two Satellites

Measat 3A At 91.5*E For Standard Definition Channels

Insat 4 At 93.5*E For HD Channels,

Bigger Dish Need To Cover Two Satellites, (Earlier They Were Providing 90CM Dish) But Now No Idea.

Regarding STB You May Need To Change Only Smart Card As Told By Technician,,,

Actually I wanted to PM you before purchasing as you are the one who had VD2H and SD, but due to post count I couldn't and made my own decision. What is your comment on this is SD better than VD2H ?

Not exactly i cant comment on this.
SD owns their own sun network channels and cinema plus channels.
Thats their plus point.
Mean while VD2h owns more popular tamil channels.
