I have a TataSky dCSS SuperLNB connected to a 2-way splitter (5-2400Mhz, All ports power pass). Two STB's are connected to this dual splitter. What I have noticed is that both STB need to be turned on for reception to come through. As soon as 1 cable is detached from the splitter, the reception on the connected STB stops (STB starts showing a cloudy message).
Any idea if this is a limitation of SuperLNB or a characteristic of the splitter. I wonder if "All ports power pass" has something to with this. Can somebody explain why SuperLNB with splitter works like so?
