Pay TV Broadcasters Had To Give CAM Which Is Comfortable With Professional IRDs,

Some Broadcasters Didn't Issued It Earlier (Now Tata Play Got Them All)

But anna all pay tv broadcasters provide such IRD to operators which provide/transmit their channels. CAM/CAS is part of the equipment.....it is just that just like new models of set top boxes r launched similarly broadcasters keep launching New IRD which has better hardware support alongwith regular software updates which are downloaded at regular intervals on all IRD boxes.

Tata Play or any operator cannot be getting some special IRD box from any broadcaster, these r standard equipments which r made available to all operators just that some operators may delay upgrading the equipment unless there is immediate need but mostly this issue likely to be happen incase of smaller cable tv operators

Professional IRDs Require Some License Activation To Operate Them, Apart From This Services CAM Required,,,,

At Present Tata Play Has 100% Professional IRDs To Decode All Pay TV Channels

Sun Network Is The 1st Broadcaster To Migrate All Of Their Encoders And Decoders To HEVC H.265 But Still Their C-Band Transmission Is On Mpeg-4 Only,,,,

I hope they have improved Vh1 HD's audio quality. Currently only Jio Tv mobile app provides the best audio quality of this channel.
