will gsat 24 have spill over signals in neighboring countries like dishtv???

Upto 36000 height they've installed it to receive n uplink the signals throughout all over India . They've planned to launch every regional channels from each States of India in all available languages.

I am certain all channels available in India will not be carried on Tata Play or any other DTH or Cable platform. Tata Play had bandwidth to add some channels but all these years it did not add channels like And Xplor HD, Investigation Discovery HD, Goldmines Bollywood , 9X Tashan etc

Installing New Dish at uplinking centre is common practice when signal is required to be downlinked or uplinked to a satellite which current set up does not support due to location or other technical reasons. Footprint of a satellite (regions where its signals r available) and at what height satellite is parked has nothing to do with installation of new dish antenna at uplinking centre, it is dependent on satellite itself that how vast is the beam of satellite which manufacturer of satellite has set at time of its making and what height placement in the orbit is best suited for it...certain satellites have multiple beams wherein even same frequency can be used for reaching to different regions but it leads to more fuel being used thus satellite needs to be very powerful to support the same.

GSat 24 has single beam which covers all parts of India including Andaman & Nicobar , Lakshwadeep islands which Insat 4A did not support, need to check if GSat 10 supported same
