You are Correct,It is may be, But if it is always May be, why they introduce Outright purchases, who will buy on that option if they not going to charge Rent Afterwards.

All DPOs have to offer STBs in Rental Scheme and Outright purchase model under new TRAI rules.

Now only thing to see is that if they keep idle maintenance fee at zero as current or will they stop daily recharges.. any one can clarify this?

Been a My99+Malayalam regional pack user since the beginig. Additional Ala cartes were CNN and Star World HD. My monthly rent was 169+10+50 ie Rs 230. The great thing about the new regulations is I can have the almost same pack for about 200 or less. Kudos TRAI

PS: I excluded Asianet & Surya TV channels except the Asianet News which cost Rs0. A welcome change for my serial addicted Mom :)
Dude. Have you added 153 NCF to the new price?

@sumitroy Read @Ritesh bro's post and follow that.

  1. Don't go for costly bouquets from Star, Zee and Sun. Go with Al-a-carte, that too only for absolutely necessary channels.
  2. Take bouquets from Times, Discovery and Turner and any other offering cheap price.
  3. Take as many FTA as possible.
  4. Keep your NCF under the 1st slab i.e. don't go for more than 100 channels.
I did follow this, when selecting channels with TRAI application.
