It's true that Bengali/Odia channels will get migrated to MPEG4 W.E.F. 13.09.2013
People having Bengali/Odia regional packages (having at least one MPEG2 STB) received a text from tatasky to upgrade their existing STB to MPEG4 STB by replying with 'Y' and it is mentioned there that Bengali/Odia channels will start getting migrated to MPEG4 technology from 13th Sept,2013.

I got message from TS, which is upgrading English News channels to MPEG4 from 15-Sep. Some of them won't be available on my connection. Is MPEG 4 STBs are costing any amount or provided by TS free of cost on replacement?

SD mpeg4 box will be provided as free replacement.

I have learnt that on free SD box there is warranty of one month and if u pay Rs. 500/- there is one year warranty ( as told by TATA SKY Representative )

If anyone is using LCD/LED tv with an old MPEG2 box, it is suggested that u go for HD Upgrade as it will be beneficial.
