Tata Sky has already started the upgrading process, more than 30 channels are now converted into MPEG4, go and check the news properly, check the tata sky's website, u will find it!

First of all mind your language. This is a forum , no swearing is allowed. Secondly I think you have not gone through my post fully. I merely mentioned the options open to TS. If you feel that they have already migrated then how I am getting the channel from TS STB which is only Mpeg2 compatible and not mpeg4. Many members are asking you to tell the source which you are not revealing.

Bro, please check Tata Sky website under Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Telegu regional packs. Almost all except a few Telegu channels have been converted to mpeg4. It is mentioned on the website. Recently they have added many Malayalam channels all in mpeg4 with space created by migration to mpeg4. TS is doing the conversion region wise. When your turn comes, you will receive an SMS on your registered mobile number asking you to reply for free replacement of your mpeg2 box with mpeg4 box like many of us have received. Recently TS has also added other channels including 2 HD channels - Star World Premiere HD and Ten HD all made possible by migration to mpeg4. Please read the posts in this forum carefully for full information on all the migration activity going on at TS for the last 2-3 months. Total 67 channels are now in mpeg4, 47 moved to mpeg4 & 20 newly added. Plus 2 HD channels added.

There is still a lot of confusion regarding replacement of MPEG-2 STB's with MPEG-4 STB's for free. I found out that only if the channels that you have subscribed to have been migrated to mpeg4, you will be entitled for a free upgrade. Free replacement of base box will cover one month warranty. Offer for MPEG-4 migration include:
1. MPEG4 SD Zapper (12 months warranty) - Rs 500
2. HD Zapper (12 months warranty) - Rs 990
3. HD PVR (12 months warranty) - Rs 4990.
