One more information what he had provided that 6 million TS customers have subscribed to Tamil, Telegu & Malayalam language pack so TS is going to add regional channels in the coming months...

Regarding HD...its 2nd preference for TS at this point of time...once they settle down with regional channels with MPEG 4 then they would start adding HD channels...

With addition of NE TV in mpeg 4 format Tata Sky has begun conversion to said format.

I don't think they will completely stop adding HD channels. This may irate many customers having HD boxes and paying HD access fee. TS already lagging behind in HD channel count.

The software is buggy when MPEG4 channel is viewed. Sometimes, from MPEG4 to MPEG2 channel change, there is no video. If you press power off and on on the remote for STB, the picture comes again. So, while MPEG4 launch is a very very good news, TS needs to implement the migration properly and remove bugs from the software. Why dont they test this before doing the migration?

Its Free They will replace only the STB (remote, av cable and adaptor will not be replaced) and they will take the MPEG 2 Box from U.

Tata Sky has sent sample box to ISP it is technicolor box. The Box contain only the box. It is small in size. If Possible i will post pic. tomorrow.

just move these crappy regional channels to one Mpeg4 TP and add HD channels already.

They have sent how many customer are there in MPEG 2. but no other detail till now. I think we will recive the detail and box on 15th of this month. first 9 tamil channel will be added in phased manner and lots of malayalam channel to come after august tatasky will be No. 1 with lots of english channel also
