yes they are using Mpeg2.. but sun direct is also using Mpeg4 technology... they are also suffering from tps space... only time will tell what tatasky will offer to its customers.

Correct. We need to wait for May to see what TS is going to deliver.

It's really doubtful.. it'll be interesting to see that from where they will arrange 24 tps. if it possible then why dish tv is using two satellites??

if it is possible thn it'll good to invest money on this technology rather than to go for other satellite for more tps space...

Bro planing is much much more important than investment. For example Dish tvs NSS 6 satellite will expire in few years but they have already booked Tp's from the same SES company satellite which will replace Nss 6 in few Years. Now every one knows in few years tons of HD channels and Few 4k or may be 8K channels will come in the Market which will acquire alot of space in tp's. Has for New technology even if they use the latest video data compression techs like H265 or VP9 but still they require Tp's to add channels. But i think 2016 will be the year for Tatasky and Airtel has both companies will surely migrate to new Satellite with Tons of TP's and latest video Data compression Techs in their Hands then it will be interesting to see what will Dish tv and other DTH players will do to stay in the competition. :huh

if they are converting 12 tps into 24 thn why other DTHs not opted this technology so far?? is tata sky is much advanced thn others? is they are only superior player to play with satellites by opting different technologies in the entire universe??

For ADTV vd2h & Rdtv its not possible to use freq reuse method coz presently they are using both polarities .ie for a v tp the corresponding H tp is also used
