Was all TP space occupied earlier & now only free space achieved after increasing FEC ??

Free TP space available earlier also.

Other than this, 2 TPs are also in DVBS which would be less than half full when converted to S2.

Again I don't want to teach any one, what I want to say is that the report about INSAT 4A with reduced power is a fabricated story. So, only the transponders on a satellite capable of providing enough power from its solar panels can be used in 8PSK mode with high FEC value. That's the physical limitations."
You people also known from CAG report that Tata Sky urged DOS to launch GSAT 10 early than planned in the name of deteriorating health of INSAT 4A but after launch Tata sky refused it as they have to swap INSAT 4A's transponders with GSAT 10. If INSAT 4A is with reduced power they would happily accept DOS's offer.

Brother, they requested gsat10 for additional capacity, not as a replacement of insat 4a,. And as far as far as reduced power of insat 4a, it will impact its lifespan.

Life of satellite is based upon fuel it carries with it. With the age satellite's power from it's solar panels reduced, as a result each transponder carry less channel.

Ys rushil bro .Ur absolutely correct the satellite is working super fine in its last few yrs of life.I think gsat10 is working with low power.The advanced Decorders of ts also helps to reduce the compression to some extent
