1-Broadcasters packs shouldn't be allowed-Only a-la-carte should be there
2-Channel mrp should be Rs.9/-
3-Ncf mrp should be Rs.99/-
4-Gst should be 9%

@IndiaN bro you are right on point.Making it complex cannot do the trick some simple measures like you have suggested above would have done the trick.Only point 4 as it falls into the category of entertainment GST will be high as Govt needs to collect from this source. But exceptions on products related to GST are there so I cannot answer them With point no 1 broadcasters packs along with ala-carte according to genres or otherwise can be allowed with capping on them.

Looks like Indian people are used as a tool to deploy their pilot testing be it govt announces or Trai rules.
We people are at receiving ends unfortunately

There's no use of admitting it now instead they should focus on following issues.

1. All DTHs are providing incomplete boquets at MRP
2. DTHs are taking too long time to undergo Price/Boquets Changes.

TRAI should sent guidelines to all DTH's and make them sort out above two problems. Then only looting of DTHs will stop.

Then TRAI must immediately scrap the new tariff order and go back to previous regime. Can they do it ???

Where is the time machine ???
That ain't happening. How can you even expect any governing body to accept their mistake?

My suggestions.
1. Channel prices of non sports channels should be under ₹10 (exclusive of GST).
2. Prices of sports channels should be under ₹25 (exclusive of GST).
3. Broadcasters should be made to create genre and language specific bouquets.
3. GST should be reduced to 5% of amount.
4. DPO should be forced to provide bouquets. If all of the channels of bouquet are available as Ala-Carte. Also force to drop bouquet from the list of any particular channel are missing.
5. NCF should be ₹100 (exclusive of GST).
6. All news (paid or free) channels carried on the platform shall be mandatory and to be provided to customers without any charge or counting against customers channel count. Also shall be provided without any subscription like on terrestrial network.
7. Ad free channels should be priced under ₹75 (exclusive of GST).
It is perfectly balanced except point 3. Government makes a lot of money from TV they will never reduce GST to 5%.
TRAI handles Telecom department and they should be limited to that, A new regulatory body is needed for Television. TRAI has proved by this bad tariff plan that they don't deserve to make more changes.
